UPDATE: CONEXPO-CON\/AGG Closes One Day Early<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Due to growing concerns about COVID-19, travel restrictions put in place by the President and changing corporate travel policies that may impact attendees and exhibitors, CONEXPO-CON\/AGG and IFPE have decided to close one day early (on Friday, March 13 at 5 p.m.).<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Despite travel restrictions and related concerns regarding COVID-19, it appears that CONEXPO-CON\/AGG<\/a> \u2014 the construction industry\u2019s largest trade show in North America \u2014 is drawing considerable crowds to Las Vegas. Held every three years, CONEXPO-CON\/AGG 2020 runs Tuesday through Saturday at the Las Vegas Convention Center.<\/p>\n

CONEXPO-CON\/AGG 2020 Attendence<\/h3>\n

According to the show\u2019s organizers, the Las Vegas Convention Center has taken precautions, per guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) to minimize the risks associated with the coronavirus outbreak. The Las Vegas Review-Journal<\/a> stated: \u201cCoronavirus concern isn\u2019t scaring attendees away from the country\u2019s biggest construction trade show in Las Vegas this week, but visitors said they\u2019re still being cautious.\u201d<\/p>\n

In February, organizers said registration for CONEXPO-CON\/AGG 2020 was on course to exceed 130,000 attendees. Final numbers won\u2019t be available until the final day, but a spokeswoman said Tuesday that this year\u2019s registrations have outpaced 2017\u2019s.<\/p>\n
