This hybrid training approach provides both general industry knowledge (e.g. best practices for safety, equipment maintenance and use of mechanical tools) and hands-on, on-the-job training from experienced mentors at Benshaw. <\/p>\n<p><iframe width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/R_9RMR8v1xQ?si=YWCfwq8n-qN6yapm\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The end result for successful participants is a journeyperson certification, followed by certification as a production technician, with all of the technical competencies needed in an advanced manufacturing environment.<\/p>\n<p>Enrollees are all Benshaw employees, earning wages, benefits and seniority while they learn new skills, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Accident\/injury protection<\/li>\n<li>Equipment set-up and operation<\/li>\n<li>Use of mechanical tools and testing equipment<\/li>\n<li>Best practices\/continuous improvement<\/li>\n<li>Quality inspection\/assurance<\/li>\n<li>Inventory management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>\n<p>About Catalyst Connection<\/h3>\n<p>Catalyst Connection is a private organization providing consulting and training services for manufacturers across Southwestern Pennsylvania.
