Maintenance/Field Service

Field Service Solutions

Control installations, commissioning, upgrades, testing, diagnostics and repair services are performed in the field by experienced, highly trained technicians. Benshaw also offers a wide range of preventive maintenance services to help keep Benshaw — and third party controls — on the job. Proactive maintenance plans and discounted service contracts are available to minimize costs and reduce downtime.

Benshaw Services Field Service

Scheduling Field Services

Rates for field services are based on our current Engineering Services Rate Sheet. “Planned” service should be scheduled at least three (3) weeks in advance (e.g. commissioning/start-ups, preventative maintenance service, installation supervision, retrofits and upgrades). Service dates cannot be guaranteed until a hard copy purchase order is received, unless the service was part of an equipment order.

Field services are scheduled by contacting a Benshaw Regional Field Service Coordinator. Once service is scheduled and confirmed, the customer is 100% responsible for all incurred expenses if service is canceled.

Available field services for electronic motor control products and systems include:

  • Commissioning/startup
  • Field diagnostics and repairs (scheduled/emergency*)
  • Preventative maintenance (site survey/thermography)
  • Retrofits/upgrades of drives and solid state starters
  • Installation supervision

*Emergency service is defined as service required within 72 hours of the call for service. If this is the case, the emergency callout rate applies per the rate sheet. Benshaw will make every reasonable attempt to respond to the specified emergency in a timely manner
