CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2020: The Show Goes On …

UPDATE: CONEXPO-CON/AGG Closes One Day Early

Due to growing concerns about COVID-19, travel restrictions put in place by the President and changing corporate travel policies that may impact attendees and exhibitors, CONEXPO-CON/AGG and IFPE have decided to close one day early (on Friday, March 13 at 5 p.m.).

Despite travel restrictions and related concerns regarding COVID-19, it appears that CONEXPO-CON/AGG — the construction industry’s largest trade show in North America — is drawing considerable crowds to Las Vegas. Held every three years, CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2020 runs Tuesday through Saturday at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Benshaw’s booth at this year’s expo (#B7233) is featuring medium voltage soft starters, heavy duty low voltage soft starters, variable frequency drives and other motor control solutions for aggregate production, mining and related industry applications. Our focus on producing rugged, reliable products for mission critical motor control applications makes Benshaw products a perfect fit for harsh environment industries running motor driven machinery. Benefits include equipment protection, productivity improvement and intelligent start/stop control.

Kudos to the entire Benshaw team for helping coordinate and prepare for our participation in this year’s show!

CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2020 Attendence

According to the show’s organizers, the Las Vegas Convention Center has taken precautions, per guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) to minimize the risks associated with the coronavirus outbreak. The Las Vegas Review-Journal stated: “Coronavirus concern isn’t scaring attendees away from the country’s biggest construction trade show in Las Vegas this week, but visitors said they’re still being cautious.”

In February, organizers said registration for CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2020 was on course to exceed 130,000 attendees. Final numbers won’t be available until the final day, but a spokeswoman said Tuesday that this year’s registrations have outpaced 2017’s.
